Day 2

John, thank you again for the hospitality. I left Arche Cape & walked through a tretcherous(spelling??) tunnel, up hill! then the next couple of miles were all up hill too! Ben came & rescued me & took some of my gear. Too much stuff w me!! gotta dow-nsize. Thankfully it was down hill for a while. I met Andrea & Ross, very cool people, took some pics, Petunia was center of attention! of course!! Then as I rounded these cliffs the woods opened up to the ocean again. The day was so bright & beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a nicer walk & amazing views. 8 miles, half of it up hill! seriously!! Ben picked me up in Manzanita, made me drink 1 beer per mile I walked! & shrimp tacos for dinner. Yum!
